Current volunteer vacancies, include supporting carers and the people they care for; volunteer drivers to assist patients in accessing key healthcare appointments; meet and greet, admin support and stock room roles in community hospitals and GP surgeries; marshals and administration roles at Covid vaccination centres; volunteers to help people with a newly diagnosed long term condition achieve health goals and improve their quality of life; volunteers to help clients use smart phones and computers to connect with family and friends and, of course, telephone befrienders to reduce isolation and loneliness.
All our volunteers are friendly, approachable, have a sympathetic manner, good communication skills, and are determined to help and support others living in Norfolk.

ART FOR TODAY – MANNINGTON HALL
At Mannington we are excited to announce our Summer Art Exhibition – Art for Today. To be held from July 27th to August 28th and available to everyone on Garden Open days, (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 11-5) as well as by special appointment.
On Saturday July 30th we will have an Art for All Ages Day when you can meet artists and learn some of their techniques. There will be a Children’s Art Competition on the day.
Lady Walpole says “it is so good to be able to get back to welcoming people to our Garden and to once again be holding an art exhibition here. My late husband Robin’s encouragement for young artists was well known especially through his years as Chair of the then Norwich Art School (now NUA). My first exhibition at Mannington in 1980 after many years working in museums was in aid of the Norwich Art Centre (then known as ‘Premises’) when we attracted works by well-known contemporary artists many with Norfolk connections such as Colin Self.”
This year’s exhibition will be curated by Henry Walpole who after an art history degree spent over ten years working in London galleries notably Oakham, and Panter and Hall, and speaks “It is a real pleasure to be collaborating with East Anglian artists for this special exhibition in the Stable Gallery I set up and throughout our beautiful grounds where I have been working throughout lockdown times.
The exhibition will feature over 30 artists with works for sale at affordable prices.
